Guest guest
Hi everyone! I'm almost five weeks out from RTKR (Dec. 19th) and started outpatient therapy last week. My ROM is about 90, but I know it could be better....I just seem to have so much swelling this time. (I had my left knee done two years ago and don't remember it being as swollen) I ice it as much as I can and try to elevate it, but it's so stiff and I know I have to keep moving it. I know I push myself alot and try to do housework and all the little things around the house and that doesn't help me either!! Any suggestions for the swelling? I know I have to be patient....but, that's easier said than done!! Take care and God bless!!
Guest guest
The best advice I got from my p.t. regarding swelling was to lie down on the bed and put three pillows under my knee and stay in that position for 15 minutes twice a day. I felt that I had been elevating my leg by sitting in my Lazy Boy chair, but you must have that knee up higher than your heart. I hope this helps. in Coloradopatty_kay7 <patty_kay7@...> wrote: Hi everyone! I'm almost five weeks out from RTKR (Dec. 19th) and started outpatient therapy last week.
