Guest guest
To my mind it's a pleasant thought to sign a petition to make raw milk legal but I didn't because I know the milk is tainted anyway and as such should carry a warning and maybe not be championed in any form. I just thought perhaps a similar sentiment was the reason that so few people had signed the petition at that point, but it may have been standard apathy too ...on second thought I still wouldn't sign the petition and I chose instead to comment on not doing it. all good, Duncan > > Maybe my point was not well put; it would seem to be a conflict of > > interest selling raw milk to an unsuspecting public as a health food > > when it's laced with toxins. > > Duncan, it wasn't about 'selling contaminated raw milk', it ws a > petition to force the federal government to pass a law preventing States > from outlawing the sale of raw milk. Guest guest
Hi All: Just met a new friend down the road who owns a 700 acre dairy farm. He will NOT sell me unpasteurized milk even though both he and his wife drink it daily. He says that it is just too risky in Delaware. He sells it in Pennsylvania though. However, he claims that he never exceeds 160 D F in his pasteurization process and that it does not kill off the enzymes... sounds like bull. Any comments? Jim To my mind it's a pleasant thought to sign a petition to make raw milk legal but I didn't because I know the milk is tainted anyway and as such should carry a warning and maybe not be championed in any form. I just thought perhaps a similar sentiment was the reason that so few people had signed the petition at that point, but it may have been standard apathy too ...on second thought I still wouldn't sign the petition and I chose instead to comment on not doing it. all good, Duncan
Guest guest
If the cows have adequate grazing land, raw milk is not a problem. I drank it every summer for twenty years as did my grand parent's neighbors. The reason that you should sign this is that the government has no business telling us what to do. Warnings are OK, but they fail in so many places to notice when the corporate farms screw up, yet attack the small farmer for a mutual agreement. Cheers, Jim >To my mind it's a pleasant thought to sign a petition to make raw milk legal but I didn't because I know the milk is tainted anyway and as such should carry a warning and maybe not be championed in any form. Thats why Gun owership has gone up, I personally don't want a gun, maybe I feel safe, cause family and friends and neigbors have stocked up on guns and amo. Don't they remember history, pioneers left England, for freedom. Guest guest
Duncan.. You lost credibility with me on this one. I grew up on raw milk and also was very healthy. It is no business of the governments where anybody chooses to get their milk. There's nothing on the planet that probably shouldn't come with some kind of a warning...there is no purer place to get milk than right out of the cow. Homogonization and pasteurization ruin the nutritional value of milk. I get mine from a private individual a small farmer, who will hand it over to you as he milks it from the cow. The cows are grass fed, no hormones, no antibiotics...I believe Everybody that chooses to do so, and certainly should have that right. Guest guest
One part of it doesn't matter.. its a US petition and Duncan is Canadian. Still Duncan, you do manage to put a negative spin on everyone else's party. ________________________________ From: " kaous1969@... Guest guest
Oh, raw goat milk is something I really crave. Unless you have tasted it you don't know what you are missing out. I am lucky that I can drink it a couple of times a year, but it would be nice to have it everyday.  Tiiu From: D. Guest guest
You came in late, Kay, I'm for raw milk, but I'm one of the ones who wouldn't bother to vote for easier access to what is now raw milk with documented concentrations of radioactivity. As I said I'm buying my whey powder and now my colostrum from New Zealand. It's an American vote anyway so whatever youse guys like to do with it and your radioactive milk is fine by me; I would honor your decision. all good, Duncan > > Duncan.. > > You lost credibility with me on this one.
