months now. I like it very much and the price is very good, but is it the best

one to buy in terms of quality? I've been reading about the glass jars as well

as the different ways of processing the oil, such as extracted via fermentation,

centrifuge extracted, expeller pressed, cold pressed. It is a little

overwhelming, but I would like to learn. What are the majority of the members

here using? Please don't tell me to look back over the 2,000 plus entries as I

neither have the time or inclination to do that, but I would appreciate some

advice.

Hi Iris,

Nutiva is a very good brand. I use it and so do a number of other members. The

best oils are Extra Virgin (unrefined), hexane free, unbleached, and

unhydrogenated. Beyond that I wouldn't sweat the details too much. Nutiva is all

of these and certified USDA organic. Plus the taste is very good as you already

know. Although I haven't tried all brands I prefer the taste and smell to

Tropical Traditions, though I do like their concentrated coconut cream. If

you're concerned about the plastic jars you can always save your glass jars (or

buy the ones used for canning) then transfer the CO into those. If you buy it in

warm weather it's very easy to do.

All the Best,

Dee

Does anyone have any comments on Garden of Life C.O. or Nature's Way.

They are both sold at Sprout's Health Store. I have ordered from

Tropical Traditions online but sometimes it is nice to be able to just

pick up a jar locally without having to place a large order and pay

shipping.

As far as taste goes, I did notice that my dog loved the Nature's Way

and also the Garden of Life but he was not really interested in the

Tropical Traditions...I guess it wasn't tasty enough for him.

Also, how does Biochem rate as far as their Whey?

Thanks,

Jennie

Qualityfirst.on.ca has the patent on equipment that uses an entirely cold

process and chilling, then centrifuging, to produce " pharmaceutically pure " VCO

with a shelf life of several years. No deterioration was detected in three years

at room temperature adnit can be used intravenously, so to me, this is the

highest quality. The company also has many other coconut and other exotic

products.

all good,

Duncan
