Guest guest
The knee is the more painful. With hip replacement, the pain in the hip is gone after surgery -- there is some "surgical discomfort" but the crippling pain is gone. And PT isn't particularly painful -- to a great extent, the PT for a hip replacement is using it -- walking, going up stairs.PT for the knee is painful -- and critical. My OS says that one will never get range of motion back with a knee without adequate PT but although he prescribes PT for hips, he doesn't feel it has a significant impact on pain or function.Begin forwarded message:From: Bill <sausages2u@...>Date: January 15, 2008 12:19:35 PM PSTJoint Replacement Subject: Whats worse hip of knee?Reply-Joint Replacement I was wondering what is the most difficult to get over timewise/painwise and anything elsewise TKR or THR.Thanks in advance.Bill.
