Glad everything went well, . Now you can share your experience when others are worried about it. I also had a surgeon with lots of experience and I think that makes a huge difference. Just wanted to say thanks!!! My name is and I am 26 and just wanted to say thank you to all who prayed for me the day of my TKR on Feb. 1, 2008. I am almost 4 months out and can walk perfectly. My orthopedic surgeon was amazing. He has been doing knee replacement for over 25 years. He is the best surgeon from what every physical therapist and every nurse told me while I was in the hospital. Before the surgery he said " I am very good. " He also mentioned that he has had 1 knee replacement fail in the last 11 years due to the man going skiing when he specfically told him not to, he told the man that was a bad idea if he wanted TKR longevity. Thanks to all of you and a special thanks to who really made me feel better about the whole TKR thing. It worked out great and I could not be happier. I'll check back in soon!!! ------------------------------------
Guest guest
Goodness! You've already had way more than your fair share. I'll be praying that tomorrows surgery goes well and you finally get the pain relief you deserve after all these surgeries. Best of luck! Sylvie On 27-May-08, at 10:01 AM, Harold wrote: > Hi. Harold Hi Harold, good luck on your surgery. Is it hard having a tkr removed? I've had 2 tkrs but I'm only 47 and they say I will probably need another. Mine was canceled because of low potassium once and because I fell and skinned my knee the other time. **************Get trade secrets for amazing burgers. Guest guest
Harold, I'm sorry to hear of your difficulties. I had a left tkr in November 2006. The new knee has never lived up to expectations. This past January I had a lateral release in hope that it might solve some of the problems. Unfortunately, it has only added to the difficulties. Last week I had a bone scan with Indium along with the standard lab work for a painful swollen tkr. I'm waiting to hear the results. What I am wondering is, what are your symptoms ... did your surgeon do testing to determine the severity of your problem or is he just relying on the surgery for the diagnosis. Thanks for the information you can share and best of luck, heidi Just wanted to say thanks!!!
