Great for you Pam, I hope starts doing better, it seems she is having a very hard time, I hope it gets easier for her, I only had some restriction for about 5 days, or at least I wasn't hungry the first 5 or 6 days, now I have to go on will power to get me through this first 6 weeks, and it is kinda tough that is why I won't weigh.

yes, it was everything you said.....Everyone was wonderful and so caring. I had a very hard time waking up from the anesthesia (has also happened in my past in the US) and keeping from vomiting but I made it. By day 2 I was 1000% better and improving daily.

  • 6 years later...

I was prescribed to continue with ice aound the clock when in bed and the CPM

Machine for 6 hrs per day for my entire first 3 weeks at home. Worked out well

for me.

It is amazing how true it is that they say at first in a typical recovery we

will see ourselves improve greatly from day to day then it supposedly changes to

from week to week and finally it is said to be a matter of month to month

progression. I hope I am lucky and still in the week to week improvement part

being now at approx 6 weeks.

prosthetic has been surprisngly pain free/ but i've got to get of the hydrocone.

i just sleep all day.
