Guest guest
There are so many brands, does it matter? There is brand at walmart LuAna, that is very cheap. Is it as good as the expensive stuff?>< I strongly recommend that you not waste your money trying to save some. Stay away from the Louann brand at Walmart. That is the brand I started with before I knew any better. I did not like it no matter how I used it and so I didn't use it much. After more than a year, I did a Google search to find reviews and when I found some, they were not good. So I have gone to the more expensive brands. This is a very healthful product. Don't look at it as just oil. It will do myriads of things for your health. Call it cheap health insurance. ) Just remember that if you can't eat it, don't put it on your skin. If it is not healthy product to eat, don't think it is safe to put on your skin. Your body is alive and will soak it and use it internally anyway. Guest guest
I agree with not using LuAna brand. It was the first I bought also, and didn't see much on the label. I called the co. and asked if it was hydrogenated, had trans -fats, etc. She said she would find out, and took my phone # and email, and I never heard a word back. I don't think it's worth it to buy a cheap product. I use Tropical Traditions. Judy On Wed, Mar 23, 2011 at 3:19 PM, Lyn K <godisbest4me@...> wrote: > > There are so many brands, does it matter? Guest guest
I don't know about Phx, AZ, I'm in WA, but ordered my last batch 5 gallons  from http://www.organic-creations.com/ When I ordered it was $150, but I just looked and it's now $175. So far, love it!  From: D. Barriga <barriva5@...> Coconut Oil Sent: Wednesday, March 23, 2011 5:45 PM Subject: Re: what brand coconut oil?  Whats the best brand, available in the southwest, Phx. Az.? Guest guest
In my explorations down here in New Orleans, the best brands and the best prices are not to be found locally. AArizona may score better because of the large retiree community there. But I shop on-line. Alobar On Wed, Mar 23, 2011 at 7:45 PM, D. Guest guest
Hi there - the best brand that I have seen available in your part of the world is by Tropical Traditions. Like someone else said - Its not just oil. If you want the best for your body then you need to look at how it has been harvested, prepared and manufactured. Check Tropical Traditions out on the internet. I am from New Zealand so I am partial to the Samoan coconut oil and oil from the ines. Guest guest
Nutiva is a good brand. Many on the list had good experience. If you have Vitaminshoppe outlets in your area you can buy them there. If you ask for internet price, they will honor that. Usually 54 oz bottle has the best per/oz price. It is around 22 or 23 dollars for 54 oz. Good luck. Suren > > There are so many brands, does it matter? There is brand at walmart LuAna, that is very cheap. Guest guest
Thanks for the replys, I guess I will throw out my luana brand. I have been searching for the cheapest gallon prices on coconut oil. I found wilderness family naturals online www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com and they have an abundance of products. but for me my daughter has a peanut allergy but also must stay away from tree nuts since she has such a severe reaction. and they can not guarantee no airborne particles from tree nuts have not found their way into the coconut oil. So that is frustrating, but I've also found www.azurestandard.com has great prices too. > > There are so many brands, does it matter? There is brand at walmart LuAna, that is very cheap. Guest guest
If you have your receipt and it is within the return period, I would take it back and get my money back. I return quite a bit of even small stuff because those couple dollars add up. ________________________________ From: shop4boots <damonrapozo@...> Thanks for the replys, I guess I will throw out my luana brand.
