Guest guest
On February 5th, there was a TruthOut Forum here in New Orleans<http://alobar.livejournal.com/4274631.html>on the Health Effects of Gulf Oil Disaster. I did not attend, but my friend Mike was there. He later told me that the forum was the most emotionally charged forum he has ever attended. Mike has been a political activist since the late 1970s, so his statement carries a lot of weight. According to Mike, Dr. Wilma Subra<http://articles.cnn.com/2010-05-25/health/wilma.subra.enviroment_1_communi\ ties-fight-gas-drilling-work?_s=PM:HEALTH>, a New Iberia biochemist and environmental activist, told the audience that people as far away from the Gulf as New Orleans are breathing in an aerosol of petrochemicals and water vapor which is negatively impacting people's health. In extreme cases, gulf shore residents have been diagnosed with chemical induced pneumonia. When Mike said this, it rang warning bells for both my co-worker, Kelleigh, and I. Kelleigh has been sickly of late. She told me that she has been in more pain with more coughing this past week that she has felt in years. In fact, back before she stopped smoking several years ago, she had a case of Walking Pneumonia which did not mess her up as the cold or flu she has been battling now. I, on the other hand, have not been sick, but I am hacking up huge amounts of phlegm. Now, I always have some phlegm due to my daily intake of undenatured whey protein isolate. My phlegm increases when I am exposed to second-hand tobacco smoke as my body rids itself of toxic smoke particles. But now, I hack up huge amounts of phlegm, several times a night, when sleeping in my smoke-free apartment. Far more phlegm that I hack-up when sitting near 3 or 4 heavy cigar smokers. I suspect that working outside at night when temp is cold and dampness level is very high (like it has been this past month), has greatly increased the amount of petrochemical aerosols which Kelleigh and I have been breathing in. Does anyone have any suggestions to assist me to detox from exposure to aerosol of petrochemicals and water vapor in the air I breathe? Guest guest
I was exposed to many of the same chemicals when the bp plant in Texas City Tx had a 40 day hugh release. I was sick at the time with a cough that would not go away after several months despite many herbal preps. I found out that food grade diatomacous earth taken with water would get some of those toxins out. Well after7 months on d-earth I fell great and I have lost all the small achy arthritis pain too because d-earth contains so much silica. You will be suprised at all the uses for d-earth(I can clean a pan with it, kill fleas on my dog, kill parasites in me and my dog, removes harmful toxins, etc etc) Hope this helps! Guest guest
Hi, Aloba: There is a very effective Chinese Food Therapy that can help detox your body. The cost: less than $10. The risk: 0. Green bean (Mung bean) soup: 100g of Green Bean (Mung Bean) 2 liters of water Boil it for 30 minutes This will yield about 6 cups of soup which you can consume in two days (3 cups a day). Eat the beans and drink the soup. You can add some honey or maple syrup to make it taste better. You can also add a few pieces of licorice root in it to make the result even better. Some people will see symptoms of intoxication subside almost immediately. However, I suggest you to use the remedy for at least 2 weeks. One lb of green bean cost less than $5. You need less than 2 lbs to complete the 2-week course. Healing doesn't need to be expensive and complicated. Sometimes, a very simple method can yield excellent results. All the best, Joe Ho

Guest guest
This concerns me greatly too. Living on the Alabama Gulf Coast myself, I'd love to just pack up and move away from all of this... But that's easier said than done. I myself have wondered if adding the use of the FAR sauna would be helpful. I know these are widely used in the removal of heavy metals and other toxins. Any thoughts? Guest guest
Right, but whether it's germs creating inflammation and and additional mucous or an allegedly inert foreign substance, protocol and methodologies are often applicable across the board. My goal is always to have the body reject (reabsorb, expel) the foreign stuff no matter what it's origin. Guest guest
: When I looked into the relative merits of an ozone sauna vs FAR sauna to incorporate into my therapy room I decided ozone therapy gave a much better and more diverse biological kick. FAR is heat, and while FAR penetrates into the body, it's only heat after all. The ozone sauna has plenty of penetrating heat with which to make one sweat out toxins. Ozone directly breaks many toxins and metals down for excretion or phase II liver detox, while FAR does not. There's only so much you can do with 10 degrees of heat. Ozone directly kills pathogens throughout the body, not FAR therapy or any other sterilant comes close to topical ozonated oil. Ozone helps clear the air of pollutatnts, and you can even clean surfaces with ozone that you couldn't with FAR. Ozone causes a large burst response of antioxidant manufacture and release that performs huge amounts of healing that can not be approached with FAR. The high antioxidants also tend to prevent pathogens from invading the body; unlike FAR, glutathione reduces infection of all types even when you can't reach them. Ozone has been used to treat about 220 diseases; it is a primary therapy, often the only one that would work, for example see the way it cured diabetic feet and fistulae; the research is posted to my ozonated oil page: <http://members.shaw.ca/duncancrow/ozonated-olive-oil.html> all good, Duncan > > This concerns me greatly too. Alobar Hi Alobar, I have not seen anyone respond openly to this request, but I hope you got some private email suggestions. Or maybe some did and I just missed them somehow. Anyway, here is my take on this. Somehow you have to clean the air you breathe. This is imperative. I can't begin to think exactly what to do that will clean the air of that kind of poison, but I am sure there are plenty of air-cleaning businesses to look into. Find out what you can use to clean the air you breathe. There are personal things that you can hang around your neck and they work right with you. Also, beef up your immune system. You are a vitamin D guy. Can you increase it? Have you thought about these things that I suggest? I have been listening, as you may know, to Doug Kaufmann. I thought of you as I listened to his recorded programs. If you are curious, go on that site. knowthecause.com Click on Watch Our Show. Then click on Tues , 1st 30 minutes and listen to the beta glucan immunition talk. That spot is 14 minutes into the production if you want to move the bar to that number. Then another one I thought of for you is on Wed 1st 30 min. then go 14 mins into this one, too. Then learn how to make a water alkalizer and start drinking water that will cleanse your system of toxins. Get that poison flushed out of your system. I know alkalized water does this. Maybe you can find a place to start to beat this back somewhere in these ideas. Lyn

Is this something that is ongoing 24/7? Or work related? One of the better ways to detox from these kinds of chemicals in the body is the use of activated charcoal/clay slurries (also highly recommended as an addition to anyone's regular detox regimen)... www.buyactivatedcharcoal.com (I buy both bamboo and coconut charcoal and combine them 50/50) and www.eytonsearth.org (best resource I know for using clays for health) http://www.greenclays.com/clay-supplements.php (best internal use clay from eytonsearth's home page) Those are the best resources I know of for these to awesome detox products. For the air in your home, I'mnot as sure... if it were me I'd consider a whole house air purifier that uses both ozone and negative ions in the air ducting, and maybe there is a special air filter with activated charcoal you could get too...
