Guest guest
You mean a health insurance company is actually promoting the Syn Visc product? As I recall it a friend of mine could not even get Part D or regular part A or B medicare ( which she was told A or B would have to cover it) to cover the $1000.00 it was to have cost for inrhink a less han 6 mos supply. . Then again she lost interest in receiving it so did not really fight as hard for getting coverage.as maybe she could have. L > > A few years ago I was ready for knee surgery but had no health insurance coverage. Well, now my husband has been working for almost a year and we've had health insurance for a while. Yesterday, Sept. 28, 2011 I received my first shot of Syn-Visc. It's not surgery but with the health insurance company, you have to play this game. The games have begun. Just a little bit longer. > Barbara > SW PA >
Guest guest
I'm still in the process of getting approved. The drs. office gave me the price of the shots and when I have to have them done by. I'll keep you posted. Guest guest
My friend only got the price quote of the medication which would have to have been personally delivered by local currier service to her doctors office ( not to her house) via some national specialty devision of the local chain pharmacy.she had. She never got beyond that involvement (chose another option) so she says she has no idea what the Drs typically charge to do the special office injection procedure or if it either the medicine or the procedure would have been covered by one or the other of her three medicare parts. Guest guest
Both my husband and I have had Synvisc injection done by our orthopedic surgeon. Medicare part B covers it because it is an injectible drug. In our cases the cost to us was under $100.00 from two different insurance companies.
