Guest guest
I want to thank you for your post asking for the squabbling to stop. I also feel for you having to keep track of so many posts. I have been a member for a year and only read the digest version about once a week. Before I do I always scan to see how many posts are from Duncan because I know there might be information I want or there might be sarcasm and conflict. I bought 3 of Dr. Fife's books and read them cover to cover long before I joined this list. After I joined I was shocked at how little discussion there was about coconut oil. I unsubbed soon after, but thought I must have joined at the wrong time, I'll give it another chance. Nope, the same thing. I started thinking of this as the Whey and Inulin list when I would open the digest. I really feel for other newbies who have to slog through post after post trying to find tips about coconut oil. I might give this one up and unsub again and just wait for the newsletter from Dr. Fife to come in. I sit up and take notice whenever he posts on this list and that is probably the only reason I stay involved. I also followed the debate about how oil pulling only removes food particles (Duncan) and have to say nope, it does improve my total health. I bought the book " The Arthritis Cure " and read the chapters about oil pulling and have been at it for a year now. I am also an ex-dental assistant so I was the best brusher/flosser to start with, but when my Hygienist friend encourage to to add oil pulling with C.O. I did. The pain in my joints has decreased by 80 - 90 percent I would say. I oil pull every morning when I get up for 15 - 20 minutes and then brush ad floss. My teeth are whiter, my gingiva is outstanding and I feel good! I would say try it!
Guest guest
, Thank you for the testimonial about oil pulling. Hearing from an ex dental health care specialist like yourself is encouraging. Its a new idea for me, however, it seems promising. I use CO and today will soon do my 2nd session while relaxing listening to the news. > > I want to thank you for your post asking for the squabbling to stop. Guest guest
Wow! What a great contribution! I am glad you gave us another chance. I wish you had been my dental hygienist with this knowledge when I was a kid and started having tooth issues. In fact, I think my dentist caused them all to start in the first place. > joined at the wrong time, I'll give it another chance. Nope, the same > thing. Guest guest
Thank you . You are well ahead doing oil pulling with coconut oil, others similarly with sesame oil, I'm ahead oil pulling with Lavoris mouthwash with peroxide and colloidal silver, and others might " oil pull " with just CS and peroxide. We all are a testament to swishing as an component of dental care. Since oil doesn't really " pull " more than mouth suction and swishing produce with any germkilling liquid after all, any liquid you choose has the " oil pulling " property. The " oil pulling " property is really shared with water-based solutions, and the teminology confuses people. The nascent myth that arose from this very confusion is the reason I commented weeks ago, and why the thread turned out to be so long. I might be one of only a few voices against a storm, but I think leaving the unfortunate term uncorrected is a mistake; through the years we have been separating the wheat from the chaff and tring to clarify confusing information, not propagating confusion from within a group that would appear to be authoritative on the subject. The term obviously caught many people sleeping and it doesn't have to be that way. all good, Duncan >I oil pull every morning when I > get up for 15 - 20 minutes and then brush ad floss.
