Sure Duncan,

I can only speak for the one that I use...

I, as well as many other herbalists do view herbs as food so we are on the same

page...

I take issue with your comparison to pharma...and the meds docs push...

pharmaceutical meds force their will on the the body...they are the result of

'silver bullet' thinking...   Many meds had their start in plants = herbs.

the chemists thought if X% of a plant constituent is good, lets pump it up a

bit...and they play with the chemistry of the plant reconfiguring this and that,

and then get a patent for their mix....the herbalists that I know pretty much

believe that nature knows best and the plant has the constituents in just the

right amount to do what the body needs help with and the lesser constituents

are there to

block nasty side effects.  What the body needs, it takes; the rest is

eliminated.   I use www.goodherbs.com/5starherbs  member# 7806 -  I know the

owner and have taken tours of the facility and the integrity is there.  There

are many insider issues that arise for these companies...   I feel very

fortunate that this company is close by.

They have 6 hubs spread out thru the world.   Alcohol extracted herbal

tinctures

are great...sometimes the taste is not so much great...but they work and there

are no side effects.   They are almost a bit predigested and so can be put on

the bottom of childrens feet and absorbed that way.   Herbs are food.

d

PS ~ I put this in my drafts file for a while as I wanted to give my response

some serious thought...the thing is as an insider to many sorts of businesses

there are corners cut and compromises made...the only way to know for sure is to

know the owner...and his / her level of integrity.   I do know the owner here

at Good Herbs and this is a passion for him - not just a business...   I know

they still extract the herbs by hand - not machinery - the herbs never come w/in

12 feet of an EMF = electromagnetic field from technology...

keeping the herbs / tinctures on top of a microwave will 'kill' them...   The

tinctures may be thought of as live foods.  I have tasted herbal tinctures from

other companies - and w/o mentioning names, they are watered down to 'stretch'

the product...

They do not do that here.   They also are willing to give tours... which says

a lot about transparency.   I have used natures way caps and others before

coming into contact with this company...the results are different - there is

more botanical per drop here...

so I do not know what else to say.

They can be accessed at www.goodherbs.com/5starherbs

or call 248.244.8444 and use memeber# 7806

anyone have questions, let me know...I endorse them because I use them...

I would not endorse anything I would not use...

Thanks, Don. I don't use herbs much 'coz food is my medicine, a concept

that the local herbalists, smart as they are, hardly go into; they are changing

symptoms much like a doctor does with purified meds. But if someone asks, what

are the top three herbal lines in your opinion?

all good,

Duncan

Well, the issue I take with even master herbalists in my area is the tendency to

" treat " , as an example say high blood pressure, using the " silver bullet " herb,

say Hawthorn, without determining the likely cause of the high BP. In my view

that's the same way a doctor approaches it, wrongly. No doubt we've all run into

that out of a herbalist.

all good,

Duncan
