Are you waking up because you are in pain? I really

hope not. I am scheduled to have total knee

replacement surgery on June 17th and reading your

message makes me worry. I am in constant pain now and

I'm taking Darvocet just to get through the day and

night. I really hope that I'll be able to get off of

this pain med. right after surgery, but I'm not sure.

Margaret,

Don't know if anyone mentioned this but if you can, do as much

exercises as you can to build up your over all strength. I realize

the knee pain may effect this but do as much as you can even sitting

up in bed. Get the arms, back and good leg as strong as possible.

If you do this, you will recover quicker and have an easier time of

it. I estimate that my recovery was a week ahead of schedule. You

will not be sorry for it.
