Guest guest
With my first knee replacement, I had depression for the first 6 months because my expectations were wrong. I continued to have some pain and swelling and I was so disappointed. So many others seemed to have better success. At six months, things began to improve and the pain went away. That’s when the depression finally lifted. I took Wellbutrin and thought it was great. Tried others and they didn’t seem to do much. The knee was a big success. Eighteen months ago I had a second knee done and haven’t been as fortunate. The knee stopped hurting but the outside of the leg is numb and I had bad pain in my hip, groin and buttocks. I had sciatic pain that was making me miserable--- Back to the Wellbutrin, frequent pain pills and exhaustion. When I quit blaming the knee and concentrated on the sciatic nerve problem, I pretty well solved the problem. I use heat on the middle of my back and changed my shoes. I use the SAS shoes and just bought a pair of Zcoil, which are making a huge difference. Really ugly shoes but who cares if they work. So maybe if you are having extended pain, it is the sciatic nerve causing the problem and you need to address that. Good luck. No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
