Guest guest
Hi all! After over a year of complaining of pain and needing paramedics to get me up at times and tons of testing done on the hip (aspiration (ouch), mri, xrays, etc) and nothing showing up. I gave up complaining for awhile and then when I got to the point of being sick and tried of being unable to do anything booked an appointment with my family doctor - which took me two months to get in to see him he said I looked like I was suffering and ordered a bunch of tests including blood work which I did yesterday. Well he called today and told me that the blood is showing an infection he didn't go into too many details of what it might be or what not but repeated three times that if I break into a cold sweat and get clammy to go to the er right away. He is also booking me for one of those tests where they put a dye into you and make you lie down under this thing for like an hour forgot the name but I have had it three other times in my life. The earlies he can get me in is a week and he will call again tomorrow with the exact time. He did repeatedly ask if the pain was in the hip and I truthfully admited that I honestly couldn't tell him where it started since it is always the lower back (tailbone area) and my left side sometimes to my knee but never affects my other side. I guess I am a little happy that something is finally happening but also a little nervous that he is moving so quickly now. It is almost a constant pain at times I can handle it with it just being uncomfortable with a werid sludge like feeling going on in the hip area. But twice in the past week I have I got a new pain/sensation my groin into my crotch area got heavy pain that picked up everytime I tried to move the other night it lasted for four hours but after taking muscle relaxers and pain killers and just exhausted I passed out. When I work up the heavy pain was gone but every so often I feel the slight odd twinge in my groin. Part of me is hoping it isn't the hip but if isn't the hip than it is the back which makes me wonder what is the lesser of two evils. I would love to hear if anyone had something similar happen to them I know no two hips are identical but I need something to relate to or something. Thanks. Contessica thr left side twice last time June 2009, 1st replacement done in 2006 after a hip fusion done when I was 14 due to hip dsyplasia.
