Guest guest
Hi Don, and welcome. You have waited long enough! I hate to think of what all that Celebrex is doing to your organs. The first question is should you do both at once. There are others here who can address that. Now is the time! All the best, Joan in NYC for now- TKR 12/09 ________________________________ From: Don M <bigteddybear60@...> Joint Replacement Sent: Mon, May 16, 2011 10:48:07 AM Subject: new to this Deal Hello i'm very new to this deal. I see my surgeon for the first time Thursday. I'm not sure what to expect. I know that i'm not as bad off as some of you, but my quality is suffering from my problems. I had both knees scoped in 2000 and 2001, at that time my doc told me the next step would be replacement. I've fought it off until now. I'm laid off of work and my Out of pocket insurence is paid in for the year so now seems the time. I just don't know if my problema are bad enough that the surgeon will suggest replacment. I've been on Celebrex for probably 12 years, I would like to get relief. so i'm hoping something can be done. Any advice or encouragement would be appreciated! thanks. Guest guest
Hi Don, It is only my own personal opinion, but when the pain is interfering with your life, it is time to do something about it. I know for me, after trying cortisone shots about 4 times that was enough. My knees were only getting worse and my life was not the same. I made up my mind that it was time to do something once and for all and end the pain. Do what you need to do....for no one else but yourself. I know I am now living pain free and it is wonderful. Good luck with your doctor appointment Thurs. Pat in Pennsylvania Bilateral TKR August 2010 new to this Deal Hello i'm very new to this deal. I see my surgeon for the first time Thursday. Guest guest
Hi Don, There is always going to be someone who is worse off than you and that is of no significance at all. If your quality of life is suffering than it is time for surgery, especially if as in your case, the timing is right for it. The longer one delays the surgery the more suffering they will needlessly go through. Good luck, Jeff From: Don M <bigteddybear60@...> Joint Replacement Sent: Monday, May 16, 2011 10:48 AM Subject: new to this Deal Hello i'm very new to this deal.
