Hi n, I am seriously considering it. I am going to make a decision

after tomorrow's Biomedical Interventions conference in Pittsburgh. Are you

planning on going tomorrow? Chris

Hi

I wish I was going to the PA conference too. I really would like to get to a specific DAN conference.

As far as I know some of the professions at the DAN PA conference will also be at at the AutismOne conference as well. I'm hoping to finally get a copy of the DAN protocol at the AutismOne conference.

Hi n! The conference yesterday was great! It was my first conference on Biomedical Treatments, so everything was new to me. Most of the speakers were easy to understand, yet they were the current researchers, so they were in a position to know the cutting edge information. The best part about it for me was that the speakers were able to explain to me why I had heard so many seemingly conflicting anecdotal reports from so many parents. For example, I saw one video were a mother swore prednisone recovered her child. Another parent says that the GFCF diet did the trick. A third says Nystatin was most instrumental. And there are more "cures." I thought, either there are many subgroups of autism or some parents are mistaken - perhaps they tried too many things at the same time and are not clear as to what exactly helped their child the most.

Well, the researchers yesterday were able to explain the biochemistry in the body and how all the systems are interconnected. Autism is a gut-brain-immune issue. Yes, there are many subtypes of autism, but the treatment that works is dependent on what part of the biochemistry of the same system went awry. This probably isn't new to you, but for me, it was interesting stuff. I'm now sold on the DAN protocol! If anyone knows of a DAN doctor in the area, I would be grateful to get the name. Otherwise, I'll be educating/discussing with my son's ped.

I also will be counting my vacation days left to see if I can go to the Autism One conference in Chicago.

Chris
