With my first hip I still had bruising at 6 weeks.

With my second I had none.

Every one and every hip is different.

THR - Post surgery bruising and swelling

|I had a left hip replacement operation just over a week ago and I now

| have swelling of the foot and a lot of bruising down the back of my leg

| and back of foot. Can anyone let me know how long it will take for

| this to go away? Thank you.

Mine was gone in about a week after it came up. Came up a few days

after surgery.
