Guest guest
this sounds horrific! Are you going to the same surgeon each time? If so I would be getting several opinions from others. Are you having an MRI done for this or just XRays? I agree that $180 is not money you want to throw away, but you really should use that money for outside opinions. I know this has to be disheartening and hope that you can find help pronto! Guest guest
I do believe you are worth the $180.00 doctor appt. you need to be seen assp. I would cut corners in my budget if necessary to get the money. Gayle In a message dated 10/7/2011 7:08:13 A.M. Pacific Daylight Time, goddessrenee@... writes: this sounds horrific! Guest guest
Hi , I'm so sorry that you're having to go through all this again and so soon after the last revision. I'm sorry I don't have any great advise for you but I do think you should just trust your instincts. You know your body better than anyone and you've been through so many replacements and revisions already that if you think something is wrong then chances are there is. I know how frustrating it is having tests come back normal and a doctor having doubts but you have to stay firm. Also, another issue if I remember correctly is that the surgeon is a far ride. If so you might just be better off with the one trip. Good luck, Jeff ________________________________ From: marywaspe2000 <maryanne.waspe1@...> Joint Replacement Sent: Friday, October 7, 2011 12:01 AM Subject: really fed up with this. Guest guest
Thanks Jeff. Its just like history repeating itself and I have gone back 20 years When I first had my scuba accident, and nothing showed up, in the end I had to beg the surgeon to Trust his clinical judgement and go from there, and that was the right thing to do, As when the first joint came out, AVN was visible to the naked eye Confirmed in pathology and nothing showed on scans or x-rays, I often think the doctors rely on imaging too much. thanks for your kind thoughts x -- really fed up with this. Guest guest
Hey fellow aussie No words can fix things for you , but we are thinking of you. This is such a kind and thoughtful group and I have found the words of encouragement that have been sent are deeply sincere. One day you'll have to make it to Sydney and we can limp along together. Guest guest
I am sorry that you are going through this, all I can say is go. Being Canadian I have no idea how your system works but if possible get a second opinion if he does tell you nothing is wrong. Maybe politely (sacrasm) remind the surgeon that not everything is black and white going through something similar I know how frustrating it all is. Depressing - defintely but just remember that even though it seems terrible now eventually it will get better because it has too. ~Contessica
