Guest guest
Hello group. We are currently in the process of setting up a home ABA program for our daughter who is 2 1/2 with a recent dx of Autism. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with the Cleveland Clinic Autism Center...I would love to hear your opinions. Or if anyone is aware of any other options/facilities for setting up a home ABA program I would love to hear from you. Thanks for your time. Guest guest
Patty, apply immediately for services through your MRDD board: E.I. program, Family resources, everything they have and make sure you get on the "emergency immediate high needs "list,,,they will put you down for the waivers, which will help fund your home program...(be patient, this still does take time....) go to ABACONNECTIONS.com and search for a therapist in your area. Ask Cleve. Clinic to supply you with a Consultant for the programs you need to be running. Your child is already 2 1/2, so you will need to meet with your local school board soon also, as she will become a preschool child with a disability at age 3, and they are responsible for her education when she turns 3. You will then (at age 3) be able to view programs that best serve her needs, whether MRDD or the local school. Hey, if you can afford Cleve. Clinic, and they do not have a waiting list, go for it...if not, get a consultant, hire your therapists, and begin right away........also look into dietary interventions. Best of luck to you, Cheri***
