My response is even more off-topic than your question, Duncan. I

normally do not talk about sex or magick on this list. But there is

no way I can speak honestly about my one exposure to cervical warts

without going into details which I normally would not share on a

health related list.

Back in the 1980s I managed a place in the country which was partially

a sacred ritual space used by the local magickal community. A friend

asked me if a young woman (~19) he knew in a city about 4 hours from

my country home could come live in my home for a while, get to know

others in the magickal community and seek a healing for her cervical

warts. I told him yes. The woman arrived, and became one of my

housemates. She attended various rituals in the back field. She made

friends with many of the people in community. She asked for several

of the women to run a healing circle for her. The circle was an all

night ritual. About a week after the ritual, she told us that her

cervical warts has dropped off or been re-absorbed. She had shown me

the warts. They looked like fronds of some sea coral or other

creatures living on a coral reef. She showed me again, after the

warts were gone. They were gone without a trace.

She later told me that when she was a younger teen, she did not know

how to tell guys that she did not want to have sex with them. So she

allowed them to have sex with her, but wished they would all just go

away. That is when the warts began to develop. The warts scared

the various guys away from wanting sex with her. Now that she had

become secure enough to say NO and mean it, she no longer needed

cervical warts to keep men away from her. The healing circle brought

all this to her conscious mind in a way that she could allow the warts

to go away.

Duncan,

Where is the hoax? All cervical warts are not treated as cancer. However, some

cervical warts, in a minority of cases, can eventually lead to cancer. The HPV

virus can lead to cervical cancer, with or without warts. Wikipedia has tons of
