Well said ,

like you I can hardly remember which joints have been replaced even though

its most of the LOL

But its funny the numbness you talk about hasn't gone away for me, but

bonus, when I had to have an intra muscular injection in my buttock I didn't

feel a thing. !!!!

xx

-- Hooray, two years out!

Two years ago today I had my right knee replaced.

So, how's it going?

Terrific! The surgery gave me my mobility (and my life) back. I'm doing

everything I was doing before my knee started hurting except running. I CAN

run, but the doctor told me not to.

I can't overstate how much of a difference this surgery has made to my life.

My knee doesn't hurt any more, and the only residual is a little numbness,

which I don't imagine will go away (nerves gone are gone) but which I'm

noticing less and less. I imagine the brain comes to ignore this non-signal

signal. I'm already having to think to remember which knee was replaced.

All you folks immediately post-surgery, hang in there! Better days ahead!
