Hi I am passing this on from another list. If so, you may be aware that State Representative Holand has just introduced a bill in the state of Missouri, which calls for the removal of Thimerosal and other preservatives containing heavy metals in vaccines and the removal of mercury from dental fillings by January 2005.We applaud and commend Mr. Holand for this bold step in helping us, parents, fight for our vaccine-damaged children. If the bill passes, Missouri will be a nationwide leader in legislative action to prevent damage to our children from vaccine ingredients and preservatives. It is my hope that the state of Ohio will become the second state to adopt this bill, but it will require some efforts from us parents.I am putting together a petition, asking our state representatives to adopt the mercury bill into the Ohio Revised Statutes. I have attached a copy of the Ohio bill as it will be introduced to our state representatives. The original Missouri bill can be viewed at:http://www.house.state.mo.us/bills041/bills/HB852.HTMAttached is also the petition. If you would like to be part of the petition please e-mail me (jmwmcm@...) or call me (330 – 764 – 4921) with your name, address, phone number and e-mail address. THE INFORMATION YOU GIVE ME WILL ONLY BE USED FOR THE PETITION AND WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED TO THIRD PARTIES WHAT SO EVER!My goal is to get at least 1,000 names on the petition – that would be a very powerful voice. Also ask family members, extended family, friends, neighbors or community members to sign the petition (this must be done with their permission; you can't just add their names). The more people we get behind us, the better our chances will be to get the bill adopted.Jane MilotaState Representative for Unlocking Autism5325 Yellowstone driveMedina, Ohio 44256(330) 764-4921jmwmcm@...Honorable Representative _______________ ,We are contacting you, because of some grave concerns we have regarding the amounts of mercury in our childhood vaccines and dental amalgams. Research has shown a direct correlation between mercury and autism. Dental amalgams emit mercury vapors and can damage the developing fetus, giving them a heightened sensitivity to toxic metals. Our childhood vaccines contain a preservative called Thimerosal, which consists of 49.6% pure ethylmercury. The ethylmercury can trigger autism in children.Today the Thimerosal has been removed from most vaccines but it is still present in some. Mercury is still being used in dental amalgams. Because of the proven danger of this highly toxic substance, it should be removed all together. The State of Missouri has just introduced a bill mandating the removal of mercury from all vaccines and dental amalgams. It also mandates all insurance companies to cover the more expensive thimerosal-free vaccines and mercury-free dental amalgams at no higher cost for their patients. We are asking you, representative __________ to help us parents take action in the State of Ohio to mandate the removal of mercury from the vaccines and amalgams, by introducing a bill similar to the one from Missouri. The safety of our children depends on our State Representatives making the right decisions for them. Please see the attachments regarding the Missouri Bill and some statistics showing a huge increase in autism in the State of Ohio.We will be calling you within the next week to discuss this matter further. On behalf of all the autistic children in Ohio and their family members,Jane Milota5325 Yellowstone DriveMedina, Ohio 44256(330) 764-4921jmwmcm@...HOUSE BILL NO. _____125th GENERAL ASSEMBLYIntroduced by Representative ______________AN ACTTo amend chapter _____, RSOh, by adding thereto one new section relating to immunizations and dental fillings.Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, as follows:Section A.
