Guest guest
The main liver support by a large margin is glutathione; the liver is the biggest user of this antioxidant. Glutathione depletion is always seen with degeneration and disease. The precursors are plentiful in undenatured whey and you'd also take selenium, the catalyst. Milk thistle proposes to increase glutathione but it does not provide glutathione precursors to do it with. There should be a dose suggestion on the bottle. NAC is sometimes used but is toxic even though the liver gets some of it. NAC is used only in an emergency setting by doctors because of the toxicity. Because of its short halflife NAC dosing must be every 2-4 hours. all good, Duncan > > This is a bit off topic. My liver enzymes are high. What would you suggest for > me to use for liver support? I don't really know why they are showing up high > again. Would you suggest Milk Thistle? Guest guest
Dandelion is known to be good for the liver. Its roots particulary, as well as leaves and blossoms. It is also good for kidneys and bladder. > > This is a bit off topic. My liver enzymes are high. What would you suggest for > me to use for liver support? I don't really know why they are showing up high > again. Would you suggest Milk Thistle? Guest guest
Yes, on the milk thistle too...it is supportive of the liver...helps oxygenate and heal liver tissue.  Would suggest a reliable organic tincture this herb for greater benefit. d From: <@...> Subject: Re: support for the liver? Guest guest
Dandelion is a high-inulin food, and as such is a liver function, immune system, and digestion improver as well as a toxin reducer by virtue of feeding probiotic organisms. Dandelion shares these properties with other high-inulin foods such as burdock, onions, garlic, Jerusalem Artichoke, jicama, salsify, murnong, elecampagne, chicory, and other roots that overwinter in the ground without rotting. all good, Duncan > > > > This is a bit off topic. My liver enzymes are high. What would you suggest for > > me to use for liver support? I don't really know why they are showing up high > > again. Would you suggest Milk Thistle?
