Looking for Research on Treating Hepatitis C with Coconut Oil

I have a friend who was diagnosed with Hepatitis C. I read in Bruce Fife's book

" The Coconut Oil Miracle " that Hep.C was one of the " lipid coated "

microorganisms killed by Lauric Acid.

My friend and I are looking for some empiricle research results, specifically on

the the effect of coconut oil on the Hep.C virus. The traditional medicinal

treatment of Hep.C leaves the patient feeling sick for a year while they take

the medicine. My friend would like to try an alternative cure due to the cost

and side effects, but would like to see or read about scientific results of

treatment of Hep. C with coconut oil, or the effects of coconut oil on Hep.C

Any suggestions on where to look for this kind of information would be greatly
