Hi ,

I've had my son GFCF for over 2 years and had to eliminate corn products and soy because of sensitivity. Corn made the top of my son's head very sensitive and it was difficult to wash or comb his hair it also made his hip area very sensitive and when he was in diapers it was difficult to clean him up when changing his diapers. After eliminating corn the sensitivities were gone within a week. Washing and combing his hair was much easier and cleaning him up with diaper changes were easier also.

Soy made my son irritable after eliminating soy he was less irritable.

My son has a lot of food sensitivities and we are working on reversing the sensitivities. He's doing a lot better with the diets he is on. GFCF, SCD and Feingold. He is potty trained except at night and is almost academically at the appropriate age level. My son is 5 years old presently. He's beginning to use sentances the other day when I placed his dinner on the table in front of him he said "Thank you, I'm really hungry" which thrilled me immensely and when I was at the conference my husband put my son on the phone when I called home. Davey said as clear as a bell "Hi Mommy" and he has eccolalagia so he repeated everything I said real well. But before the diets he wouldn't repeat anything at all. So we're moving forward.

I have info from the conference to share with this group so when I get myself organized I'll start sending what I have.

Hi everyone, Sam has been on the GFCF diet since February and we have seen some nice improvement since we started it. I was reading somewhere, maybe here, that a mom saw major improvement in her son when they removed soy and soy lecithin from his diet.

I was wondering, if I want to try removing other foods from Sam's diet, such as soy or corn, how long do I need to do it in order to give it a fair trial? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
