Guest guest
You might want to rethink hip resurfacing as the latest studies recommend the procedure only for healthy men under 65 - not for women Hip Resurfacing Operation Loses Important Endorsement - NYTimes.com There are of course women with the procedure who had excellent outcomes - statistics only provides for statistically greater or lesser risk. I don't think the benefit of hip resurfacing is level of activity - many people with replacement have no issues with activity restriction especially with the larger head devices. I had the anterior approach which does not cut muscle so there is little risk of dislocation after surgery and I had no restrictions on type of activity. There is a doctor in downtown LA who is considered one of the " founders " of resurfacing in the US. There is a group on called surfacehippies that is devoted to people planning or having had the procedure.
