Guest guest
I had both knees resurfaced by Dr. Gross a year ago, now my knees are bone to bone. It seems the knee surgeries have not kept pace with hip resurfacing. Researching this, I came upon a couple US ortho docs doing Tricompartmental Resurfacing Knee, which doesn't cut off much bone, and another doc who soon will be doing cartilage cloning to replace cartilage. All docs mentioned that these procedures had been done oversees for years and are now getting FDA approval. Does anyone know anything about the outcomes or anything at all about these procedures? Does anyone know which overseas docs have been doing them? I hear Koen DeSmet has a fabulous knee surgeon working with him. Any info appreciated.
