Guest guest
funny you should ask . At the moment it is snowing! This is really funny as Wednesday we played tennis for two hours! We are invited to a localvore lunch in a neighbouring village hall this afternoon. I hope we can get there! We are flying home to New York on Monday, and it looks like we are leaving just in time! Please don't tell me how warm and sunny it is in Oz. I couldn't stand it! Joan ________________________________ From: " maryanne.waspe1@... Guest guest
Hi Joan We only got overnight rain in Wiltshire :-) I think the snow was fairly localised in some places up North. Have a safe flight home! Lin >>funny you should ask . At the moment it is snowing! This is really >>funny as Wednesday we played tennis for two hours! Guest guest
Hi Lin, Thanks. It is still snowing, so we will have to drive carefully to the village. There is no snow on the road, so we should be fine. I hope the snow is over in New York. We have been personally lucky so far, and I hope our luck holds! My fake knee isn't fond of snow. Today with humidity at 90% that's the killer, I hate it. Heat is okay when its a dry heat like in Arizona, ohh I love that place. Could move there tomorrow. So I remain in ,my craft room trying to do bits and pieces one armed in the air conditioning. Stitches out Tuesday yeah !!!! Progress.now the hard work starts. PT Its a long time since I visited New York. xx -- Re: 3 Months Post Op..TKR..Feels bruised? No , not silly. After all you have gone through, you are allowed to be concerned. Try not to worry. Guest guest
Actually , 35 C has no appeal for me. That's why we head for North Yorkshire in the summer. When we tell people here we come for the climate, they look at us as though we should be taken away by the men in the white coats! At any rate, the last few days here have been snowy and wet, and we are going home Monday to snowy and wet. You cant beat Mother Nature! She wins every time. Good luck with your PT. It's the hand climbing the wall stuff, yes? So off to Manchester. all the best, Joan ________________________________ From: " maryanne.waspe1@... Guest guest
Hi , We made it back to New York, to guess what? Snow. And the mountains that we left are still here! Unreal. Good luck with the PT whatever they make you do! At least my knee will be happy with the promise of spring. FYI, I was patted down both in Newark and Manchester because the knee set off the bells when I pass through the plastic arch. Guest guest
Yes, it sort of puts our replaced parts in perspective. It was really cold here today, but supposedly it will get warmer as the week progresses. It was Spring in England when we left. It's still dead of winter in NYC. Stay cool. Joan, Glad you had a safe journey. oh yes I always get a pat down. I don't know what is going on around with the world weather wise, these days and months, What with all the cyclones last month, and now poor New Zealand has copped another earthquake. -- Re: worrying.
