Guest guest
Lin that's so funny, when we first arrived here in Australia, from the UK, we had no idea the distance travelled. We had friends come for a holiday and she so wanted to see the Great Barrier reef, So we looked at the map and thought that's not too far away, and proceeded to make the trip up there for a long weekend. Thursday to Sunday. Well we started driving taking it in turns, and it took us over 18 hours to get there, so had to cancel one day so we could drive back in time for work. Another 20 hours home. I go to my surgeon who is 300 km's away and think nothing of it, except when you have had surgery and on the way home, you just want to get home. the worst part is going back at 2 weeks to have sutures removed. x -------Original Message------- Joint Replacement Hi I've found Bio-oil very good - it helped heal the would quickly, and using it as a massage smoothed out all the lumps and bumps left when the staples were removed. I couldnt cope with car risdes to beging with either - they were agony. But after a couple of months I was OK with them and got permission to drive. I still wouldnt like to drive a long way, as the knee still hurts, but a few miles from home is fine. If I'm a passenger I can cope with long distances now (well, long for the UK!). I hope you will feel more comfortable soon. Are you going for daily walks? I was told that it is the best meds for the ACE effect and shin pain, good luck!
