Go fig. I get released from home PT after two months of wonderful home

visits. (thanking God daily for the good fortune to have insurance pay

100% of the home pt visits) Doc wants me to start going to aquadic

therapy. Wonderfull...except they are $20 a visit 3x a week-YIKES!

With 4 school age kids, this is NOT in my budget. So we do the next

best thing, join the YMCA with it's wonderful indoor pool arthritis

water aerobics classes and silver sneakers classes that help seniors

develope strength, ballance, muscle tone and cardio health. I'm only

43, but this is right where I need to be right now. Family membership

after partial scholarship is only $40 a month with unlimited visits.

AND THEN IT SNOWS AND ICES FOR A WEEK! IT's cold, I can't get out of

the house, and I'm being held hostage by a 14, 12, 10 and 4 year old!

They are in collaberation with the two basset hounds, 2 kittens, 2

guinea pigs and Chewbacca (my son's hamster) All 4 kids were home from

school 4 days last week, and then again today! Luckily, the snow and

ice is supposed to be gone by tomorrow morning. It's -1 with the wind

chill right now, and by Saturday we'll see low 60's!

TKR Dec 1. Bending it to ablut 125% and able to go totally flat. But

still sore on the sides of the knee cap, and feeling like I've got an

ace bandage or rubber bands on. It also tends to still woble a bit and

not give very good ballance. I'm so ready to just get out and stretch

the new knee! Has anyone else done aquatic therapy? I'm hoping to get

as good if not better results than just doing regular PT. It just seams

to be easier to move in the water, and keep my ballance. (also fun to

get into the hot tub afterwards!)

Spring will be here soon enough, and then we'll all start feeling

better!

Big hugs from Texas,

Lori B
