TKR Questons and Tibial Osteotomy

Hi everyone,

Can you tell me more about putting in a shower bar? Do you need it in the tub

area or next

to it? Does everyone need one? I had an upper tibial osteotomy 8 years ago to

put off the

need for a TKR, and I got by without one for that.

Also, can you use the kind of walker with four wheels and brakes post-op? Or do

you need

to use the kind that don't roll?

Has anyone else had an osteotomy prior to a TKR? I'd love to know how the pain

and

recovery compare between the two. I had the kind with external fixators. It

took me six

months before I could return to work.
