Guest guest
I wouldn't like it if was me. I would want to know what he meant by metal in your muscles, I have never heard of that before. and how does this supposedly work its way out . very odd. ask more questions. -- post op checkup on hip revision I finally had my post op checkup yesterday. I was told there is metal in my muscles and it needs to work itself out. Otherwise, stretching excersizes will get me back to normal. I asked where would this metal go once it works itself out? " We'll deal with that when the time comes " . Also come back next week for more xrays. How do you read this appointment? ------------------------------------
Guest guest
I agree with . Metal in the muscles is a very odd statement. My doc would have mentioned it, I hope, he was pretty forthcoming with how the hip replacement worked. Maybe researching this on Google would help a bit...do ask more questions. Keep us posted! Guest guest
Odd thing is he didnt even take xrays on my visit! Says the xray machine was broke. So he must have known about the metal before the surgery. I wonder if it was broke because I told them my ins.was cancelled due to being off so long with this hip problem! > > I wouldn't like it if was me. Guest guest
You may want to insist on a prescription to go to another facility for an xray. Just because their machine is out of service does not mean you can't or shouldn't have an xray. Also, everyone should take a friend or family member with them to the first few appointments so that you both hear what the MD says. You only get a few minutes with them face to face and now you don't have answers. That's not going to give you any peace of mind! Guest guest
I am going for the xrays next week. Wonder how he knew theres metal in the muscles without an xray? I always take someone along for just that reason and I cant hear much to boot. > > > > > > I wouldn't like it if was me.
