Guest guest
I had a Synvisc One injection yesterday. Synvisc One requires just a single injection instead of the weekly injections. The PA gave me an injection of lidocaine to numb the tissue below the skin and followed with the injection of Synvisc. I was told limit my activity for the rest of the day but could return to normal activity the next day. Icing of the injection area was suggested after the lidocaine wore off, about 4 hours later. Now we see if it makes any difference. I'm not expecting much with the degree of osteoarthritis. But I feel that it is worth while trying out before going in for a TKR. I was told it could take up to four weeks before I see any difference. Clifford
