Guest guest
Judy, yes, No-Salt is partly potassium chloride. While potassium chloride in sufficient intravenous doses will kill you in a judicial system, it is also a supplement at low doses in the medical system. This is because although it's used as an electrolyte imbalancer to kill you, smaller doses can balance out an electrolyte imbalance that favours sodium. Potassium chloride is also sold by the pharmacy for this purpose. The article you pointed out is aptly called A Straight Dope Classic because it's written by StraightDopes I guess all good, Duncan > > I was following the salt, or no salt, discussion, and did some googling. > What do you all think about this; is this what no-salt is?? > > http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/1364/can-salt-substitute-kill-you > > Judy > > >
