It could be genetic. Over the years I have met a few eople who told

me that psilocybe mushrooms, peyote, and other very bitter tasting

plant/fungal medicines had no bitter taste. The people I knew who did

not taste the bitter had some ancestors who used the bitter medicines

regularly.

That is very interesting.  I can put a tablespoon in a glass of water and taste

nothing.
