Urgent Action Alert

The State Senate bill to ban the use of mercury in vaccines has been referred to the Committee on Health, Human Services and Aging. The sponsoring Senator ( Fedor) addressed the committee on Tuesday April 12th. Her speech was very powerful and full of disturbing facts about the dangers of mercury in vaccines.

It is now time to show Senator Fedor our full appreciation for the giant step she is taking on behalf of our children. The chairman of the health committee (Senator Watchmann) has not responded to our request for hearings on the mercury bill. We need to let him know that this issue is of the outmost concern to the public in Ohio, and the only way to do that, is to flood his office with requests for him to schedule the hearings

If you feel that your child was damaged by the mercury in vaccines or if you have ever had second thoughts about vaccinating your child because of the mercury danger, this is your chance to do something about it.

We are in a position where we can potentially lose the bill if these hearings are not scheduled. If that happens, then Ohio will continue to inject children and pregnant women with amounts of mercury that not even the average adult can handle.

Please let Senator Wachtmann know that this bill (SB49) should be top priority for the health committee.

See below for a sample letter to senator Wachtmann.

(feel free to edit)

Dear Senator Wachtmann,

I am writing today to express my support for Senate Bill 49 sponsored by Senator Fedor, seeking to more strictly limit the use of mercury in vaccines, and more specifically, to request that further hearings in the Senate Health Committee be held as soon as possible. Specifically, SB 49 serves to protect pregnant women and children under 8 years of age from the dangers of this known neurotoxin.

1 in 6 children nationwide are suffering from neurological developmental disorders. The educational and medical cost of caring for these children is astronomical. Not to mention the emotional heartache for families affected by these disorders.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this request. With Ohio in a difficult budget cycle, I realize that this is an extremely busy time in the legislature. With that said, nothing can be of more importance than the health and well-being of the children of Ohio. The Ohio Department of Health has failed to adequately address this issue, and now I am asking you Senator Wachtmann, please, not to continue to suppress the voices of countless parents who have already lost so much. At the very least, Senator, let our stories be heard by the committee members, and then decide whether or not this bill should die in committee.

Sincerely,

(name and contact info)
