I didn't hear much good about the shots so chose not to have any of them.  I

went right to one knee replacement and then the other.  I am so glad I did.  I

didn't think about my hips and should have checked.  I was so sure it was my

knees.  Now I know I may need one hip replaced.  (My Surgeon wouldn't do two

knees  at a time.)

My doctor suggested that I try Orthovisc injections, one a week for 3 weeks. Did

anyone have luck with these? It seems like there is so much to learn if I end up

having TKR. I would like to believe that the injections will work but I think I

am headed for the surgery as my knee is almost bone on bone on the medial side

and the kneecap is also involved.
