NWO Regional Autism Advisory Council Autism Services Coordinator

Part-time Position (15 hours a week, potentially evolving to full-time) responsibilities include assisting in the coordination of autism services for public schools, Educational Service Centers, Boards of MRDD, Charter Schools, Parent Advocacy Groups, Private Providers, Medical programs, University programs, etc. in NW Ohio. Specific Duties include: Establish new structure that supports collaborative efforts among autism service providers in NWO, Establish county autism workgroups in NWO, Build/Develop working relationships with all partners in NWO, Develop new funding partners, develop platform for sharing information on autism related events in NWO, collaborate with partners to provide training to meet the needs of providers, advocates, parents, consumers, etc. in NWO, conduct meetings with Executive Committee, attend meetings with county work groups, and other meetings as necessary, maintain lines of communication with all partners and other essential organizations including Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence (OCALI), Autism Society of Ohio (ASO), Autism Society of America (ASA), etc.

Eligibility Requirements:

Minimum Education: Masters Degree in Education or in a field related to autism.

Experience: Work with/providing services for persons with autism; demonstration of collaborative work with professional educators ;Knowledge of NWO and existing autism programs; Good people skills; Self starter
