Guest guest
I saw my OS today for the first time since leaving the hospital....tomorrow will be 4 weeks from surgery. He said everything looks perfect and has lifted all my precautions. I have to use a cane until the limp is gone which hopefully won't be long. I start PT later this afternoon. I was so eager to drive again but decided to start out with just a cruise around the neighborhood to try out the new leg....and it was scary!! I still have another 4 weeks at home before returning to work and am looking forward to getting my life back....and being pain free at last!! This board has been so helpful and reassuring while I waited for surgery and during the recovery time since! Thanks to everyone for posting your questions, responses and opinions...you are all a great resource!! Anne

But shouldn't Physical Therapy begin within the first two weeks? What have others had in that area? Lynn My physical therapy started in the hospital. I got out after 4 days and then had to go back to therapy 2 days later. **************Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight? Get new twists on family favorites at AOL Food. Someone has been coming to my home since I left the hospital but it really hasn't been challenging enough for me. I'm looking forward to working on the machines and really building the muscles back up. Sorry for the confusion. Anne That's good otherwise you're gonna be in a world of hurt. I still don't have my muscles built up good enough. **************Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight? Get new twists on family favorites at AOL Food. Guest guest
Hello everyone, I had my revision surgery nearly 4 years ago. I don't post as much as I used to do, but I do get the digest version of the list and skim it each day. I think this is such a great group that I often tell my clients who are having joint replacement to jump on. Isn't the internet wonderful how it allows all of us to help each other, even from other sides of the world.
