Sherry,

I have constant groin pain in the 16 year old hip,

but not my revised one which is nearly a year old.

Its as good as gold.

-- Total Knee

I am still having groin pain, the ligament or tendon inside my thigh and it

has been almost 3 months. I also have psoriatic arthritis and that sometimes

causes inflamation where the tendons and ligaments attach to the bones. I

just feel like the pain I am having has something to do with the surgery. I

will be starting Remicade next week. So, I guess if it is the other

arthritis, maybe I'll get rid of some of the pain. I took Enbrel for 4 yrs.

with some relief. Has anyone else had groin pain? SherryHH

I had it but a long and intensive twice weekly gym program involving straight

leg lifts of that leg brought that long overdue q problem under control PRIOR

to my going in for the TKR. But now in the aftermath of the TKR I am stll

able to do the same quantity of straight leg lifts etc. but it was

significantly more of a pain strain again upon first returning to that same

formerly accomplished quantity AFTER the TKR. IBut it is getting back to

becoming easy again with every rerun during PT visits.

At present my weak hamstrings and a certain muscle band on my TKR leg are my

big enemies and i am working on a really straight ambulstion posture. 7

years iof listing to the left and fearing falling front or backwards or sideways

was far too long a time of poor posture. The two forearm crutches helped me a

great deal with a straighter posture but now I desparately want to no longer

have to be dependent on them in or out of the house for resting and walking

posture.

My Rt leg owing to the past 7 years with balance and groin and bone on bone

knee pain problems had become somewhat bowed my surgeon told me after surgey. I

read that some folks become knock kneed and some bow out, But my os said his

TKR

corrected that bowing and o my leg is back to being straight again. I dont want

to spoil that by favoring my new knee joint again now. Hence the work on

getting back my old good straight posture while i have that option back.
