Yet another replacement???

Hi Everyone,

I was a member of this group for quite awhile and now had to

rejoin.

I had BTKR about 2 years ago. Eight months later the right one

had to be replaced because the surgeon overfilled the femur

with grout, it overflowed, harden and chewed up the new knee so bad

it was destroyed. I went to another surgeon for the replacement

because the origional surgeon thought it was just inflamation.

Now it is two years and the other knee (left) is starting to

bother me and is swollen and looks like it may have fluid in it.

I am afraid the thing may have broken or failed in there. It has

been bothering me now for around 2 weeks.

Has any one on this list had a prothesis fail or break after

years? The thought of yet again another surgery has me out of my

mind. I am scheduled for foot surgery soon and just had eye surgery

for floaters that would not go away and were interfering with my

vision. I feel like an old car.
