Guest guest
Hi , I don't know which kind of knee I have. How can they recall a knee? It's not like replacing the brakes on a car, is it? My knee works fine, so it would be really hard for them to catch me to have it taken out! So, today I see a commercial for a law firm on TV that is filing a class action suit against Zimmer for a product recall on Nex Gen knee replacements. This is really disturbing to me since this is what I have. in TX
Guest guest
, I know this is easy for me to say since I am not the one with a Nex Gen Zimmer knee but if it were me, I would try to keep myself from worrying until I had trouble with MY knee. Maybe they are not ALL bad and if you are not having trouble with your knee why would you want to go through another replacement just in case it did have problems down the road? Hope for the best with your own. BARB in Florida TKR - Zimmer Nex Gen I'm 5 months post op and JUST got to the point that I'm glad I had the surgery. Guest guest
I second this sentiment as there is nothing you can do about it and the odds are in your favor since more than 90% of the surgeries don't have problems at this point. Guest guest
If you know you have a knee or hip that might need to be replaced, it might be a good idea to find out your rights. Not knowing what will happen if in a year or two you have a problem and need to get a replacement might be important to having your Surgeon check it more closely over time so you don't have to pay to replace it yourself! I just think it is best to know. Hugs, Donna R TKR - Zimmer Nex Gen I'm 5 months post op and JUST got to the point that I'm glad I had the surgery. Guest guest
It will be a cold day in hell when I have a perfectly functioning artificial knee replaced because of some recall.
