OT - bunions

I have them, and my drs have always told me they are likely caused by

wearing narrow-toed high heels. I did wear heels years ago, but my Mom had

them, and she rarely wore heels; she had so few occasions to.

Now - my 13 yr old granddaughter is having surgery on hers today; she has

never worn heels, so that is not always the cause, obviously. So if they

are hereditary, what is the cause of them; anyone have any ideas on that??

Just curious what you all think. I have been getting foot cramps since the

bunions got worse as I got older. I am glad she is having this done now;

tho I wonder if anything else would help her.
