Guest guest
Ok, I'm kind've scared again. My bilateral tkr is next week, on the 16th. The surgeons office just called to see if I have chosen a rehab facility for after the 3-4 days in the hospital. I mentioned the name of a nearby rehab, and she said, " Oh no, you are having bilateral surgery. You will need an acute care rehab facility! " (Actually, I was planning on being well enough to come home from the hospital and not need to go to rehab, though the possibility of rehab was still there.) Now, I need a super duper rehab, not even a regular rehab? And she told me to call my insurance to make sure they would cover an ambulance to take me from the hospital to the rehab facility. Hey, guys, is it going to be " that " bad? I thought I would be able to walk with a walker by the time I got out of the hospital? This sounds like I am going to be completely incapacitated.
