Judith,

I think the bruising is very common. I had both of my knees done at the same

time and they were very black and blue. I was glad they warned me that they

would look like this because my right leg was black and blue all up and down and

was really looking awful. My left was not as bad. The bruising gradually went

away as did the swelling.
