Guest guest
So, it is happening for real, -- you are on your way to a major experience and a better life. (I am amazed at how many members seem to be gearing up for revision surgery right now -- you are in good company. I also had my first revision in the month of December.) It sounds as if you are truly ready for this, and I am so glad the scheduling got finalized at last. I know we will all be thinking about you and looking forward to your post-op play-by-play! Guest guest
, WOW! I would have gone nuts moving my surgery up at all I hope that this allows you to be home for your brother's return, as well as being home for the holidays! Good luck with it all, and maybe the change will save you from a couple of extra weeks of pre-surgery jitters > > > > > > , > > > > > > Thanks for catching that. I don't know how that slipped out. Guest guest
I am suprisingly calm as I get ready to go in on Wednesday. I went for pre-op with my primary on Friday, and I pre-registered with the hospital while I was in the area. Tomorrow I have to have my bloodwork done and get a chest x-ray. I think I am too busy to be nervous/scared at this point. I have some cleaning and stuff that I need to do as well. Its weird because this kinda seems like it has been my " routine " the last few years. I just hope that after this, I can break the routine and next Christmas not have to worry about any doctors visits or surgeries and just spend time with my family. This is the 3rd year in a row that I have a December surgery, so I am ready to be done with this! My surgery is later in the day (10:00am), so I don't know when I will be done (Dr. Deckey said it will be an all day surgery), and I doubt I will remember anything until the day after. I can't wait to be up and around again, hopefully with a big decrease in pain after this all settles down again. Thanks again for everyones support. See you on the other side. > > > > > > > > , > > > > > > > > Thanks for catching that.
