Guest guest
Hi everyone hope everyone is doing good. I was told Fri I need a revision on the TKR which was done July 2009. I also need a TKR on the other knee before the revision. I have severe pain and alot of swelling and alot of stiffness in the knee replaced. I am very sad about the whole problem. I have always had problems with the knee that has been replaced. No good range of motion. Any suggestions? Any help woi;d help. Guest guest
Range of motion is less than 100 degrees.alot stiffness and swelling and pain. Nothing has changed much since surgery done in 2009. If its simply because of range of movement I doubt another one would make much difference. Let us know what the problem is. -- knee revision after original TKR done in July 2009 Hi everyone hope everyone is doing good. I was told Fri I need a revision on the TKR which was done July 2009. Guest guest
Hi I had failed TKR in 2008. The implant just fell into pieces before I even recovered from the anaesthetic. That causes a lot of pain because bits are floating around in your leg. Then Ihad revision TKR. supposedly a top surgeon in Israel, didn't do the correct operation and didn't use the correct implant for revision TKR. Another 6 months of pain.In all 29 months of hopping on one leg. I live in Israel. Fortunately I had insurance and a very good agent and I had a second revision TKR done at HSS by Dr. Bostrom. I am now walking instead of hopping on one leg. Don't use the same surgeon that messed up the job the first time and sue the .... The fact that the knee is warmer is usual, it's the metal of the implant which heats more than bone. If you canget to HSS do.
