OT Japan sinking, dozen earthquakes daily

The eastern edge of the island of Japan is undergoing subduction and has dropped

by more than 2.5 meters in the last month. It is still moving with about 12

quakes over 4 daily, many over 6.

Scientists have compiled a map of the larger Japan quakes in the last month for

playback; here's a good summary page with slippage data and earthquakes that is

updated every day.
