Hi Meredith,

I'm now on my second magnetic induction cooktop. The one I got in '89

finally gave up the ghost last Sept and as electric cooking is my only

choice. It was mag induction or nothing! I love this fantastically quick

and clean method of cooking.

But I've never heard a whisper anywhere about any effects on the food,

or the cook, in all these years. I am an avid researcher, so I should've

come across a danger message as I have with microwaves and cell/portable

phones.

But I can't tell you it's totally safe, only that I have not heard it

wasn't.

Thanks Sharon, that's good to hear at any rate. I didn't realise they had been

around that long.

Meredith,

Is there any brand(s) better than others?

What are you going to buy?

What's the price range?

Are there small, portable/counter top units?

I love this fantastically quick and clean method of cooking.
