Guest guest
Hello, I have been practising oil pulling since the middle of March and about 4 weeks ago my psoriasis flared up all over my body. My psoriasis is generally very mild and I know that the occasional flare ups I have experienced in the past are related to lack of sleep or an emotional/stressful situation happening in my life. I have researched oil pulling (coconut oil) and can only believe that this skin flare up is consistent with my body having a healing crisis. My question is does anyone know how long a healing crisis goes for? I know it's a bit like asking how long is a piece of string and that each person's experience is unique. I'm curious to get some references because this has been going on now for 4 weeks and I'm wondering how long my normally clear skin is going to be in this condition or if I'm having some sort of allergic reaction to the coconut oil? I don't want to stop the process because I am aware that my body is detoxing (at least that's what I hope it's doing!) and would value hearing any similar experiences that other people have had with regard to their skin and oil pulling. The upside of doing oil pulling is that I had a dental check this week and it was the first time my gums have not bled in years, so I can only put this success to the oil pulling. I look forward to hearing from you!
